Buninyong Kindergarten — Buninyong Childcare Centre

Buninyong Childcare Centre

Buninyong's story, and ours

Buninyong takes its name from the Wadawurrung people and is a charming town with an intriguing history and some splendid colonial architecture.

A town with a gold-rush past

Before the gold rush, Buninyong was already an important inland community. It became more prominent after the local blacksmith, Thomas Hiscock, made a gold discovery that sparked the rush that transformed Victoria.

A village with a lasting charm

Today Buninyong is often called a village. Its historic character and welcoming feel make it a very attractive place to live, at the foot of Mount Buninyong, with a growing population and plenty of local facilities.

From Shire Offices to childcare centre

Buninyong Childcare Centre is one of those facilities. We are in the very heart of the village, next door to the Buninyong Town Hall and Police Station. The building was originally the Buninyong Shire Offices and is now a well-designed, perfectly located childcare centre after a complete transformation.

We serve the Buninyong community as a place where local children begin their early education and build friendships with other local children.
